I play world of warcraft, there it is. I said it!

Im actually a huge nerd when it comes to this game. I wish ppl i know knew this about me but i just cant get myself to say it (cause id get a massive slaggin)

This^ People who know I'm on it eg. house mates ask what people talk about, and I usually say the news. But in reality I'm not heavily involved in those threads. I mainly concern myself with things like "use a film name to describe your penis" and a survey on "do you wipe your mickey with a piece of tissue". If I told them that they would think I'm even more retarded then they do now, so I don't bother.

If they're unfamiliar with these pieces of information, there's a reason for it - as for the shame factor, ffs are really still in that area of life where we cannot be ourselves and take pride in it?! pfft! "Never apologise for who you are"

To the OP; I'm an open book, I cannot think of anything secretive (sp?) that those I want/are in my life, do not know. I'm very vocal and opinionated, basically I don't hide things.

Maybe you picked me up wrong, I don't necessarily hide boards from people so much as just not telling them about it. I don't see why I would tell them the nitty gritty of boards and what actually goes on in AH the same way I wouldn't talk to them about how my master league is going in pro, it's just not relevant. If my friends asked my username I'd tell them, I've told one or two who asked. But there are some things in your life that other people would just not care about, I'd like if someone I knew knew about it, we could talk about it, but they don't so I keep it to myself.

Its crap, it used to be good, then they made it so easy that any sense of acheivement was removed from the game, as for using your brain....again...thats not needed anymore.

I wish people to whom I'm speaking would realise something: if I don't have an instant answer to their question, it doesn't mean I'm stupid, or I'm stumped. It means I'm thinking about the question. I'm one of those people who thinks before he speaks, even if it sometimes makes me look "slow". Far too often I see people giving snappy answers that demonstrate that they haven't fully understood the question. :rolleyes:

Aye true that. However I enjoy it more than ever right now as it doesn't require me to spend countless hours doing stuff I don't like (grinding, dailies etc.) so I can spend the other time doing the stuff I do like.. Raiding, PVP etc.

I loved WoW too, got a level 70 mage, but it just got boring, I used to spend hours trying to get a raid together only for a wipe to happen on the first boss because everyone was ****e and then it just falls apart with people leaving.

That I suffer from crippling panic/anxiety/depression & am highly medicated for it all. I'd like to be able to tell people that without having the fear of the whole mental stigma coming to bite me in the ass.

As the ad on the radio says, I'll stand up for mental health issues, but not for my own.

That, and those radio ads asking people to get help if they're suicidal, they wreck my head because I've been through dark times and it just triggers bad memories. But that's just me being greedy - if it helps one person then it's job done.

Raiding was good fun when you had a half decent group though and weren't wiping all the time
