What exchange is my phone number on?

One of the broadband providers (Magnet I think) used to have an online number checker that would not only tell you if broadband was available on your phone line, but also what exchange the number was connected to.

Are any of these services still up and running? I've spent the last 15 minutes checking all the sites, and none of them seem to offer this any more.

(Reason I want to know the exchange is because I'm getting ready to move office, and want to make sure any new premises I look at are in the same exchange as our existing office, so we don't have to change all our phone numbers.)

    Use this :

    http://www.homevision.ie/broadband1.aspx#

On the right hand side, tells you your exchange and what you will actually get speed wise, not what it is capable off but the actual speed.

I use it all the time when I am looking to buy a house and try and find peoples numbers close by to see what max speed I get, very handy tool.

On a side note - if the premises you're moving to is on a different exchange, and you end up with a new number, you can ask your provider to set up a "Virtual Line" (the number of it being your current number) which can divert all your calls to your new number. Customers who call the existing number will get through to you, none the wiser. Virtual Lines are generally fairly cheap.
