Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I honestly don't know.

I'd ask this question here in the Farming & Forestry section Enduroman.

Ring Hammond Lane or McGoverns in Ranelagh for the up to date quotes.
Prices change pretty often these days. . .

Some prices quoted in an article in Saturday's Indo about metal thefts:

    http://www.independent.ie/national-news/builders-forced-to-hire-security-in-spate-of-metal-thefts-3080836.html
The price of copper has soared from €4,200 per metric ton in 2008 to €6,500 a metric ton earlier this year.

Lead is up from €115 a kilogram in 2008 to €195 this year while aluminium has gone from €1,215 per metric tonne to €1,735 over the same period.

really it depends on the metal your selling

i think copper was upwards of 20 a stone

but iron is like 20 a tonne

i dont understand the other anwsers if you don't know then no one wants your remarks if you've nothing better to do why waste people time

    Prices depend on quantity.
Large quantities (full load delivered) of ferrous about €200/t

Aluminium depends on quality 200-500/t - very hard to get good quality

€160 per tonne, i dropped of an aul car there last week

With aluminium the price varies wildly, plus it's worth noting that thermally broken aluminium is only worth about a quarter of what non thermally broken is - so it could well be worth taking the time to seperate it as if it's mixed it will all be classed as thermally broken.
As noted a scrap yard will be able to tell you exactly how much - ring around, the prices they offer vary quite a bit!

Scrap metal prices vary depending on the type of metal. This website will give you a rough idea. http://www.letsrecycle.com/prices/metals

It depends what you have, ie Ferris & non ferrous. Aluminium and copper is worth considerably more than Iron or steel. Stainless steel & cast Iron is worth more than wroth Iron etc.

Galway Metal, Hegarties of Limerick or Hammond lane in Dublin would give you a good idea.
