Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I thinking about getting small sub-woofer in my E46 in order to give the stereo a bit more relief as I find it quite flat.
I am not looking for a big yoke that'd fill my boot or shake the neighbours windows when passing by though ...

Would anyone have any recommendation on type/model/output/source/ballpark price ?

    Thanks - V

I think you can get units that fit under the seat depending on ow much room you have down there.

I can not remember the price but a friend had this in his E46. Its in mine VW now. Not a bad bit of kit now I must say.

You get a handy controller for speaker gain and low pass filter (20hz to 120hz) so you can fine tune it.
Runs off a cigarette lighter no bother (15amp) which is handy as my car has one in the boot so the only wiring I needed to do was the audio cable and the controller.

Something I am learning since I put the sub in, it really helps if you have speakers in the rear doors too as you get such a directional sound from the front then nothing but bass from the rear. Probably not a problem in your car as I think my friend had rear speakers too but I will definitely be wiring in some new rear doors speakers to get a better balance.
