Edmonstown Road closed until April 30th

    Does anybody know why the Edmonstown road is closed off for road works until April 30th?
    It was closed off as well about this time last year too for road works down near Springvale.
    This is a big inconvenience too myself and all other residents in the area, as we now have too divert up around Mount Venus around and down by Stocking Lane.

    In order to carry out essential repair works on water mains as part of the Boherboy Water Supply Scheme, it is necessary for South Dublin County Council to temporarily close a section of Ballyboden Road (aka Edmondstown Road R116) between its junction with Mount Venus Road and Scholarstown Road from Monday 16th April 2012 until Monday 30th April 2012, inclusive.

    Alternative route via Scholarstown Road westbound, Stocking Lane (R115) southbound, Mount Venus Road eastbound and vice versa
