Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've just seen an add for a new ice cream that grows back after you take a bite out of it. I don't know how they do and I don't care. But sometimes you just have to give them the nod. I never thought we be seeing things like this in my lifetime but there you go.

I guess flying was another one beck in the day that really shocked people. Humans had dreamed of flying since the beginning of time it seems.

Also mobile phones too. The idea of being able to talk to someone in the middle of nowhere, say Carlow for example, all without a wire....think about it, it's just amazing.

How have these magic scientists amazed other boardies?

Eh yea they do grow back, I've seen it on the TV just a few minutes ago.
They showed it several times on their marketing campaign growing back, you can't just lie on these things you know. ;)

Do you know I had this discussion with my Ma just the other night, I think the Magnum company will be getting a lot of complaints when people's ice creams don't respawn after they've eaten them

Science always suprises me. Especially for the way it roundly ignores the 'i before e except after c' rule

The add indicates that the taste last's longer due to the kind of coco used. It is subtle in the add but Sky + it and you will catch it.

    (I know I am at it now :) )

I'm regularly amazed that I can transfer files from my phone to my netbook instantly, without them touching, and even if I put my hand between them.

I know that there's proper hard scientific fact behind that, but it still seems incredible to me.

Like the fact that the internet isn't a physical place.

I remember my Da been utterly baffled as to how they could get a TV show on a tape the size of a small book.

How fast that has and is moving.

This just came into my head Moo, but if someone ever creates a clone of you on here (that's how you know you've made it) they'd better call it the "King of Poo" :D:D

    Speaking of science...

I had root canal treatment today and after I left the evil bastard's surgery I was crossing the road and I thought to myself 'thank science for traffic lights or I could be knocked down'.

Hopefully they'd be one of those evil clones you always hear about to make me look better by comparison.
