Massey Ferguson Lift Issue

Have been restoring a Massey Ferguson 590 and its now fully back together. However I'm having an issue well the lift.
If there is no load everything seems fine, however if I try to pick up a silage bale sometimes it picks it and other times it won't. If I pick up something lighter like a straw bale, the lift will start to shutter and over time will rise to the max position.

During the restoration, the lift pump was removed and rebuilt by a Massey Dealer.

Any idea? Has anyone ever seen this before?

Are you sure you have enough hydraulic oil in it?

We had similiar with a Massey 550. Drained the back end, took of the triangular plate on the underside, there is a filter straight up above it, changed it and put in new oil. Was a different machine after that.
