Why are you calling people haters when they are giving their opinion on what they think will be the outcome of the match/tie? The majority of people on this thread have said they think Real will get through. Do you consider these posters haters towards Bayern?

I'm talking about the people who said they have disdain (hoping they lose, etc) towards Madrid before they make there point.

Most people are OK, that remark wasn't towards every poster.

Interesting Schweinsteiger is starting, I doubt he is 100% fit.

    Bayern's defence is poor

Apparently a few pairs of CR's boots were robbed from the dressing room. Few jerseys too.

    Sólo robar.

How is their defence poor? They've the best defensive record in the Bundesliga and have conceded 1 goal in the knockout stages of the CL.

A bore draw wouldn't surprise me in this match. I think Madrid will have enough to win it over the 2 legs but it will be a close run thing.

Gustavo being asked to defend Özil. This should be good.

I have to say I probably fancy Real over the two legs but saying they go through 'very easily' or even is 'comfortably' is - quite frankly - laughable.
Bayern have a very good record against Real and the fact they are not winning the Bundesliga 'easily' says more about the in-depth strength of the Bundesliga than about the quality of Real Madrid.
Bayern will be a match I'm sure and I dearly hope they can do it, the last thing I want to see in the Champions League Final is yet another rolling around, imaginary card waving cry-fest by the two Spanish teams tbh.

Hopefully the two teams will go for it and get a few goals. 3-3 draw on PP is 40/1, sticking a fiver on it for the craic*.

*Here comes a nil all draw. :o

Of course barcs fans want real madrid to lose but if you look at the posts the majority of barca fans here think real madrid will win.

Real gonna cut them open imo. They have that look of confidence.

Dont know what it is with Bayern, I always think of them as a solid team not reliant on individuals, irrespective of how good they are! . .

    German efficiency stereotype!

That's the perfect way to describe the German national team. I think Bayern do rely on individuals a bit more though, especially their wingers, although the whole team is indeed solid.

Was sure that was going to be given

    Correct call in my opinion

Real getting practice at facing cheats before El Classico.

That was a penalty. Even if it looked like a sniper rifle shot Ribery.
Also, the cynic in me thinks Mou told them to clip Robben like that. :D

If he dived he should be booked, no consistency in the rules :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,026 ✭✭✭✭adox

More of a foul than on Young against QPR but still think he went down too easily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 658 ✭✭✭CongoPowers

    Haha.

Not sure about that one, could have been given but looked a bit like a dive once Ramos got a hold of the jersey.

    And it just got interesting!

Edit: As bad as Young's dive.

Was more a penalty than youngs. Goallllllllllllllllll riberyyyyyyy.

Lol to those writing Bayern off!

Casillas could have done better there but he probably didn't see it until late.

    Nice assist from Ramos

Think he's doing a fantastic job so far, bit of a culture shock for the Madrid players to not be able to crowd the ref :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,026 ✭✭✭✭adox

Lol to those writing Bayern off!

    18 minutes of a 180 minute tie.

    Bit premature no?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,328 ✭✭✭Pyongyang

    GET IN THERE BAYERN! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 658 ✭✭✭CongoPowers

Am I missing something with the penalty? I only saw a slight shirt pull.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,306 ✭✭✭✭Drumpot

Interesting to see how Madrid respond to this, they can lose their heads when things arent going their way, like Chelsea of old . .

Don't think you can blame Casillas, his woeful defence left him blind until late notice. Need to see it again though.

Waiting patiently to lump on Madrid double chance, go to 2/1 you bastard!

No one believed Özil was going to take that free kick.
