    Hi lads,

I've just joined the Boards franchise and am the new GM of the Bucs. I haven't had a good look at my yet roster so I have no trade block at the moment. It means the title of the thread at this stage is a tad misleading but i will get one together over the next day or so :)

Just wanted to say hello and while i get my trade block together, anyone who has a sensible offer for any of the existing Bucs feel free to PM me. I'm a noob to all this though so no fleecing allowed ;)

    cheers!!!

Are the Buccs available? I thought Stevo was coming back? Might be totally wrong there.

Hey mate, I'd be very interested in taking Vontae Davis CB
I appreciate that he's an elite CB so i'd make a suitable offer.

Let me know if you'd have any interest in making a trade.

I like this Bowers guy you have. What do you want for him? I'm the Raiders if you don't know. Of course all my DEs are in the equation. Despite the ratings on my leaguemanager Pickett is a far better player than Austen Lane. With regards to draft picks, I've already traded some, I have a 2nd, and my fourth to seventh. I also think it would be an amzing feat if I managed to trade away all my draft picks.

How about Ryan Pickett and a second round pick?

I like Bowers too ;) Young with A potential and all the numbers of a classic LE. All your DE's look better suited to a 3-4 defense while I'll be running a base 4-3. I already have Wilkerson who can hold the edge on running downs and slide inside if necessary on passing plays so none of your DE's hold any value to me in a trading scenario.

I've had a look at the rest of your roster. I'm guessing you don't want to trade anyone who you've recently signed which narrows it down to a handful of players.

How bout a straight swap for Jake Butcher - RT?

Cool. I'll drop him into free agency in about 10 mins!!!

Tampa Bay Bucs trade block is finally together. Following a few days of teams inquiring about certain players, I guess it's best to make you aware of who is and isn't available:

    - Roddy White (WR, 97, PotA): "Elite" WR. Everyone knows about White so no explanation necessary!!! Would be looking for a decent (88+ overall with speed) receiver in return along with an upgrade (7+ points) at a position of need.

    - Matt Forte (HB, 91, PotA): "Second Tier" RB. Excellent 3 down back. Not great between the tackles but through the B gap and as a receiving threat there are few better. Would be looking for something similar to the White suggestion above. A RB (84+ overall with get away from the cops speed) and an upgrade (5+ points at a position of need)

    - My 1st round draft pick (???, ???, PotA): In what Mike Mayock has described as a "geez, gee whizz, gosh darn I just love his tape" great draft i have the number 16/17 overall pick up for grabs for anyone who'll give me a player who is younger than 28 and 82+ in a position of need

Looking for fair value in a position of need for the below:

    - Junior Siavii (NT, 78, PotB): How can you call a 320 pounder Junior??? Senior Siavii must be the size of Argentina!!! I'm listing him as a NT cause he's better suited to playing in a 3-4. If you have a speed DT you can pair with him in a 4-3 then he could be a nice run stuffing addition.

    - Hussain Abdullah (FS, 79, PotB): Solid all rounder. Could upgrade a secondary with a weak FS. Won't play on Sunday's cause of religious beliefs

    - Tyler Polumbus (LT, 75, PotC): Decent backup LT. Could be a starting RT at a team with a need there. Capable guard which makes him valuable across the whole line.

    - Earl Mitchell (DT, 73, PotC): Never going to be an every down DT but excellent interior pass rusher on obvious passing down. Has the athleticism to play end in a 3-4

    - Chris Gronkowski (FB, 79, PotC): Differences between Chris and "little" brother Rob - Height, smaller. Weight, lighter. All stats, diminished. Number of twitter pics with porn stars, significantly less. In saying that, Gronk II is a serviceable FB and is better than most as a pass catching threat... looking at you Vontae Leach!!!

    - Jamal Brown (RT, 78, Experienced): Not likely to retire but catching up on the sabre-toothed tiger in age. Can play right or left tackle and i've heard he's great on cross country flights with stories about the old days... like Madden 07 when he would have been 99 overall and it would have been him with the twitter pics with porn stars.

    - Larry Foote (MLB, 77, PotB): I don't know why i included his potential... Anyway, he's potential B for "Been there, done that, got the concussion". Slowing down a bit as he ages but still a tackling machine. Probably best suited to playing ILB in a 3-4 but has the coverage skills to play in a 4-3

    - All players 75 and under will also be considered for trade. Will be expecting a 95+ "elite" player in return though ;)

    Tampa Bay Bucs Needs:

Technically speaking, every position is a position of need unless you have a QB like Druuuuuu Brees or a HB like Adrian Peterson or a WR like Megatron and etc... My situation is no different but If you were to ask me to list my most pressing positions of need i would list them in the following order:

    1) SS - looking for a strong safety with speed and decent tackling. Not particularly concerned if they have the awareness of Pacman Jones on a night out!!!

    2) CB - again, looking for a CB (or 2... or 3 come to think of it!!!) with speed, decent tackling and is better at covering than he is aware that he should be covering!!!

    3) C - a good all round center is being hunted. Not interested in one who can run block through a brick wall but can't pass block his own shadow and visa versa

    4) FB - It may be unfair to compare him to his brother but having found out Gronk II is awesome at little and average at everything, an upgrade here would be nice... not vital though

All other offers will be considered but the above will take preference in a tied situation!!!

    Thank you :)

    which one... Polombus???

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 21,658 Mod ✭✭✭✭helimachoptor

    Yep Polumbus

  • Registered Users Posts: 236 ✭✭ibmax

    Yep Polumbus

thanks. I don't see a massive amount of options in areas i need to strengthen. Dylan Morgan in a straight swap looks to be the only thing that seems close value but im guessing you wont want to trade him

AC O'Neal looks decent but i'm not convinced he'll progress at only pot C.

    Have you any suggestions?

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 21,658 Mod ✭✭✭✭helimachoptor

Want to keep Morgan alright, I'd be willing to part with bigby but not sure it that would interest you.

Hedgecock is a decent FB I won't have much use for him with MJD though

Neither of those guys are much/any of an upgrade over what I already have. Maybe we'll revisit after progression?

I wouldn't have any interest in that. I'd be surprised if Meester doesn't retire and I've no interest in Grant (not getting any younger).

I'd give you the 2 of them for your center Erik Daniel? The logic being: with a name like Erik he must be a viking... and Nick Mangold looks like a viking... and he's great ;)
