Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've been thinking of getting this for a friend. Has anyone played it? Is it like Risk, or more like D&D?

Its pretty awful to be honest, Better of waiting for The RPG later this year (I think May) but even being a huge fan of the books I quit after about 2 missions.

It's a bit like Risk, in so much there's a map board and you move armies about it.
It's a good game, not too complicated and quick enough to pick up.
Only played the first edition, the release of the second edition as fixed some elements and added in some gameplay ideas from the expansions.

Played it for the second time just recently (and won btw). Not a big fan, usually, of board games that take hours to play but this is one of the rare ones I like.

Seems to be mixed reactions to it. He's quite into his D&D, so I might look into it more

Think your talking about the video game, not the board game as the op was thinking of.
