HUGE Thanks to All the Teams across Ireland who supported the Tournament. Was a HUGE Success! Thanks to the large STAFF from all different Teams across Ireland.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qWgLXmVW4U&list=UULwG4i-6lsA-I1wiJeXxl3Q&index=2&feature=plcp really dissapointing to lose to an illegal leg lock that has injured me when u train hard for the tournament, was even more dissapointed cus i didnt tap at the time but i can understand why it was stopped because there was a big cracking noise and my ankle is in pretty bad shape now haha. obviously i can understand a mistake as i referee other sports myself, but ignorance to the rules from a referee would be frustrating if thats the case... ah well, really proffesionally ran & enjoyable tournament and i was happy to help out as staff aswell

Theres no ignorance to the rules Marcus...
If the heel does pop out of the arm pit,, it turns into a Mate Leon, ala Braulio/Victor Estima style. Legal from only brown belt up. In this video you cant see the heel out either,not from my angle either. plus i'm looking at 2 attacks...You attacking toms foot, and tom attacking your foot later.
If Tom went for the Mate Leon, its a DQ, but I didnt see from my angle & its hard to make that out in that vid too. My concern then is to the competitor, & as I mentioned i stopped the fight for that reason, heard a pop as i saw 2 attacks for straight Achilles from 50/50. & tbh it was hard to figure out whos ankle went pop for a while.

ah no fair enough understand it was hard to see in the situation happened pretty fast, yeh it was the estima footlock as tom said to me himself so i was just a bit unsure of whether it was believed that this is legal at blue belt... but obviously liams well aware

Didn't know the footlock was illegal at blue. Really sorry bout that man, no good winning that way either. Hope the foot recovers quickly

looking in detail..Tom takes the grip at 1:42 to put the hand position on in 2 secs at 1:44 we hear the pop. However the owness is on the REF to ensure he can see , so I should have being in position to see this & moved across to the other side. Therefore my apologies to you Marcus.
