Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where's Moldova?! It's all about to kick off so make sure you stay tuned to Adrian Kennedy - FM104 to see just how Adrian and his co-star Jeremy Dixon are going to make it all the way over to the children's orphanage in Hincesti, in just 104 hours on 50 quid a day...It's a great cause everyone so get behind them and enjoy this EPIC journey. You'll be able to text FM104 - texts cost €2 and all funds raised will be split between Outreach Moldova [ORM] and Dublin Child.

I'm posting this to create awareness as I am returning to the orphanage myself in June :-)

I'm currently in the middle of fundraising myself for the trip so if anyone would prefer to sponsor me directly for ORM, PM me. I have a mycharity account :-)

Fair dues for the fund raising by the two lads.

But on the other hand... lets hope that nothing awful or bad happens to the two lads on their journey.

For example... car crashes, plane going down, muggings, stabbings, lightning strikes, torture, imprisonment, cavity searches, getting 10 ton weights dropped from a height onto their knowledge filled little heads, getting detained by customs in moldova due to the fact that an irish citizen allegedly rang ahead to inform that the drugs were hidden up the two boys... well, you get the idea.

I mean what would Dublin... no, Ireland do if anything happened to the two greatest journalistic radio presenters of our generation.

Society would break down... people would be crying in the street... and where would the fine callers to the show then be able to debate the intellectual topics of our generation?

Such topics as... culchies vs dubs - who is better? northsiders vs southsiders - who is better? and the always much debated... why dublin taxi drivers are great!

    Safe journey lads... safe journey!

Edit: and just in case anyone thinks im giving out too much... i did the right thing anyway and text in to the number. fair dues on picking the two charities, its all going to a good cause at the end of the day.

Great adventure for the two buckos all the same, and all for"charity".

I am sure they will survive as long as Kennedy stays off the sauce and driving duties.

I think it's a good laugh really. Makes it all the more interesting because I've been there & going again! :) Great excitement.

Best of luck, this has fallen out of the spotlight in recent years, but your trips make an amazing difference :)

I agree. Felt wonderful seeing the difference I could make in such a short length of time. The poor girls in the orphanage don't have any volunteers until March/April so it's a long time from October without any sort of proper communication or attention.

At the same time, I'm already unsure of returning next summer as it's so hard to fundraise money. I'm still almost €400 short of my target with very little time to go.
