Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Employees rights during Jury Service.

    Hi
A friend has been called for Jury Service. I know that by law her employer can't withold her pay during this time or in any way penalise or discipline her for her abscence from work. However, as she would have been on nightshifts if not for having to attend for Jury Service, what are her rights as regards the nightshift premium she would otherwise have received? Can her employer get away with paying her only her basic rate? It would seem unfair if she had to be out of pocket due to doing her civic duty.

    In My Opinion:

If Night Shifts are the only shift she does then she would be entitled to the premium pay (which would be her regular pay). However if her shifts change from time to time then she will only be entitled to claim the wages that she missed (ie 9-5, or whatever jury time she served)

Every over time should be paid in the premium pay out, this allows on the legal employees too.
