    Hi,

    I am thinking of moving to the UK. I am going to use my friends address to apply for jobs so that i have something lined up before i go. But i am wondering about the NI number. If I went over for a few days and stayed in my friends house, can i apply for the number then? (i would be coming back to ireland until/if i get a job)

    Also, I am currently on the dole here. Would registering for aNI number effect this? I would sign off the dole if i got a job and moved to the UK.
