I can categorically say that I hope Chelsea get schooled tonight, in a major way, with Messi scoring a hatrick

Was just going to post that myself. It's an amazing stat. Can't wait for the match tonight. Hopefully it'll be a match to remember defined by great skill and not something else.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I hope Chelsea win this one

Love seeing the whiny, arrogant Barca players show their true colours after a bad result

So he's a bit selfish then, not much of a team player ;)

Just read this on the live match cast from the guardian's website :D
This is the weakest side that Roman Abramovich has ever sent out soothe his Champions League craving and tonight they come up against one of the best teams in the history of football.
Yes, it's Barcelona versus Chelsea, the clash of a club that is reaping the luscious fruit of years of painstaking talent hot-housing and the club that is desperately staving off the comeuppance of years of splurging pell-mell and hoping for the best.
But that is not to say the result is a foregone conclusion. Because while Barça boast mobility, finesse and enterprise, Chelsea offer those qualities that we are told are possessed only by English, or English-inspired, people: PASSION AND BALLS AND BOTTLE (when they're in the mood).
So it's tiki-taka v hurly-burly. Fancy dans v John Bull. Ball-hogs against war pigs. Chelsea may seldom touch the ball but when they get it, by George they shall hoof it.
Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, Stamford Bridge must be a wet Tuesday night in Stoke. And then, next week, Camp Nou must be a wet Tuesday night in Stoke. It's an order so tall that air traffic controllers are in a panic. Panic is good. Panic is Chelsea's friend. Panic is Chelsea's best chance of beating Barça. But not the sort of panic that Fernando Torres feels whenever he gets in sight of a goal, which is why Didier Drogba sensibly starts.
From there on, Chelsea need madness to reign.

Barca to win tonight. Too much class. Chelsea have been crap this season. An ageing, slow team. Have people forgotten this in their excitement?

Guardiola kept Barcelona pegged back against Milan, so he may very well do the same here.

My comment had nothing to do with United. But for the record, seeing as you are trying to turn my opinion into one that is purely borne from club bias, i think United's team this year is one of the most average i have seen in the past 20 years.

Chelsea are a slow ageing team. You disagree?

I think getting to the Champions League semi is a good achievement. You havent really beaten anyone of note though (i refer you to what i have said above in case you try to introduce a "Benfica beat United" argument).

As for the FA Cup, who cares really? Nice to win but only a big deal for a big club if they cant win anything of note.

As for the "ref stepping in" - another Chelsea victory torn from their grasp by unscrupulous officials

Want to debate the game tonight? Or do you want to continue with irrelevant arguments?

Dunno but if you're in the Rep. of Ireland. Aertv is probably your best best. I find RTE.ie to be unreliable.

If Barca lineout like this they could easily win, I think. Having no defined centre forward could confuse Terry and Cahill, and they'd outnumber the midfield 3 as well.

Has Alexis been a success at Barca so far?

That's was a chance for Drogba. Tough to kill the ball with his first touch but if he had, he was in on goal.

He's bad alright, but no where near as terrible as in the infamous Mark Lawerson.

Chelsea really trying to choke up the midfield. As soon as they lose the ball Drogba drops back and there's a line of six players for Barcelona to try and get through.

    Didnt think so. Enjoy.

I amnt a United fanboy by a long shot. I called tonight's game as i see it. Absolutely nothing to do with United at all. Just think Barca have too much class and Chelsea are in the sort of position Schalke found themselves in last year. In the semis with a relatively poor team. Also want to add that i have no hate for Chelsea at all. There was no need to introduce club bias into it just because i have an opinion you dont like. Anyways....
