Hi all, just a quick question I hope you can help with. Can you spray roundup around the base of a tree to kill grass and weeds but not kill the tree? Thanks

probably best to put news papers or some mulch around the base of the tree.

    Yes,
Follow the recommended application rates and don't let the spray onto ANY leaves or green. It won't be absorbed through the bark or roots.

I always do with no problems.

Use Gallup which does the same job as Roundup but at half the price. I've sprayed around the bases of hedge plants for years without any problem.
