Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Reapplying for Driving Licence - Categories

    Will be re-applying for my driving licence later this year. Currently I've got categories B (Car less than 9 people) and EB (same... with trailer).
    My current licence has no mention of M (motorbikes <50 cc) or W (tractor/JCB).

    Tried citizensinformation.ie but couldn't see what categoies they'll renew me for by default. Not much bothered by M or W but wouldn't like to lose EB.

    Anyone know? Or able to find the appropriate link?

    Apply for all you want above. They will write back to you if you can't be issued wirth same. They did that with me when I was upgrading my licence after passing my truck tests.

    W is default. Depends when you got your licence what else your entitled to.

    M was removed from B in 2006 and it was before the 90s when C1 and EB where given with the B.


    IIRC if you haven't renewed an endorsement for a certain amount of years you loose it.
