B&I in Dun Laoghaire

My recollection (as a kid, spending time in DL walking the pier, etc . . .) was that it was only ever served by Sealink/Stena boats, but I came across a reference to a B&I Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead service in a link recently.

Is my memory playing tricks on me and B&I did indeed sail from DL, or is the link incorrect ?

Incidentally, I understand there was provision made on the East Pier (on the bulge located towards the start of the pier, just outside the yacht club environs - http://maps.google.com/maps?q=dublin&hl=en&ll=53.294728,-6.127056&z=17) for B&I ferries to dock at one point in the dim and distant past when there was a possibility of industrial action or some other reason for their Dublin Port berths to be unavailable. There used to be car lanes marked out on the pier if memory serves me well.

According to these guys, they never operated out of DL under their own flag (i.e only chartered to Sealink)

The only time a B&I ship went to Dun Laoghaire I am aware of was when the Munster blocked the St David from entering the port in '81....

The Dundalk would have gone there too in 87, but she was in Stena ownership at that stage....
