Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No need to apologise. Letting this failed thread go is for the best.

*We're not against all travellers. Just the ones who claim their human rights are violated every five minutes, but feel they can deal drugs, steal, assault, and wreck every green area despite being offered alernatives. We're essentially against the ones whose sense of entitlement vastly outweighs their sense of social responsibility.

But they're not PC enough to make the list are they?

Probably because they're NOT PC in the first place. But I did say add as you feel fit (I agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly BTW).

Oh the self delusion - the OP hasn't "hit home", the smileys and rage at anyone who challenges you and the unfounded whinges of begrudgery just make people not take you serious is all.

Now now D. I thought you'd have calmed down by now. So, I'm assuming from that inference that you think people take YOU seriously to begin with? Fact is there are so many home truths on that list it makes certain people uncomfortable. For whatever reason.:)

    The 99%:

    http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/ojeyidmhsnkf/

If these are the 99% then I guess the rest of us must be the 1%

    Seriously .

Fail thread. Fail OP. Fail the 99%. Fail...ahem...'movement'. Fail property speculators.

    Just really fail all around.

Fail bankers; fail "Labour" Party; fail deluded PS workers; fail PC Brigade. You're right. The list is endless.

if you are in the 99% and fu*k up then you become the 1% very fast

if you are the 1% and loud and rich enough you can rule the 99%

you are not brought to your knees because you injoy it but because you are pushed into it

That'll include politicians, bankers and developers then.

No it isn't a "fact" - you appear to have some sort of god complex, so deluded are you. The lord wouldn't like that at all. And you're 53 - wow. Scarlet for you.

More relevant to Ireland now than it ever was before. Please feel free to add your own:

    * We are not against the rich - we are against using wealth to gain an unfair advantage.

    * We are not against Corporations - we are against Corporations governing us.

    * We are not against Capitalism - we are against corruption in Capitalism.

    * We are not against banks - we are against fraudulent banking practices.

    * We are not against investment markets - we are against legalised fraud in the markets.

    * We are not against democracy - we are against the sale of influence by our elected representatives.

I suppose a few that could be added for Ireland are:

    * We are not against the Public Sector - we are against them not obeying the same economic rules as the Private Sector.

    * We are not against the "Labour" Party - we are against them masquerading as "Socialists".

    * We are not against bankers - we are against their privileged treatment and the obscene amounts of money they are paid.

    Over to you folks.....

*We're not against all people on the dole. We're just against the few who sit at home all day and feel that certain jobs are beneath them and 'not worth it' because welfare gives them more money and that they are entitled to more and more. All of course whilst blaming government and banks.

There's nothing un PC about them, they're reasonable views but rarely put that way.

    ITT: Jealous guy being jealous.

On topic, why are you against the "obscene amount of money" you say bankers are being paid if not simply for reasons of jealousy? If, as one of your first points claims, you are not against capitalism, and you are also against the public sector wages not obeying the economic rules that govern private sector wages, including those of bankers, then surely you must be in favour of those rules being applied to bankers wages, which they quite obviously are?

They aren't paid that much simply to piss you off, they are paid it because capitalism has decided that they are worth it.

In my opinion, there is nothing of substance in the OP, just a lot of vague ****e about "corporations governing us" "corruption" and "fraud" which isn't substantiated in any way.

Scuba smacks of a banker or financial type, (or maybe a:eek: Public Sector worker) arrogant to the point that someone even dares to question what's going on. It would be nice to know his actual occupation, which he seems so shy about.

He clearly said in his last post that he was neither. I don't see how him having a different point of view to yours makes him "arrogant"? I thought he expressed his point quite eloquently. On the other hand you have just dismissed arguments out of hand without clearly stating why. That strikes me as arrogant.
