So my creative zen vision w finally died...

... and now I'm looking for something to replace it.

Creative seem to have pretty much stopped developing this sort of device so my initial idea of just getting the latest version of the zen vision w is a non-starter.

As phone technology seems to be integrating everything I'm guessing the days of buying a standalone portable video players are over, so I'm open to all gadget suggestions (video players, tablets, phones, portable games devices etc) but basically I'm looking for a device with a 4-5 inch display (not bigger or smaller!) that I can stick in my coat pocket and will play various video formats and give a good picture. All suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks for the replies so far everyone.

I'm still looking atm. The Samsung galaxy looks good. I'm kinda wary about it tho because I bought one of their touch phones a few years ago and it had imho the worst software and general presentation I've seen. I don't want to end up getting something that's a pain to use like that again.

Sammy have come a long way since their early touchscreen phones, so you shouldn't have to worry about that.

Have you looked at Archos' current lineup of android devices? I can't offer any feedback on them myself as I have no need for media on the go, but it's another option to check out
