Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tracking down an old bike

    Hi folks,

My cousin's all-time favourite bike was BSI 500, a CB1100R that he owned back in the late 80's. He's always regretted selling it and some years ago a dealer in Cork tracked it down.

The dealer drove my cousin to the house of the then owner where he saw the bike in a shed, a non-runner at the time. For some reason the deal fell through and he's always regretted it.

Any suggestions as to how we could track down the current owner (assuming it still exists of course)?

    Thanks

If you know a guard they could match the reg with an address, dont know how the current owner would take to how your cousin came across his details though.

There are data protection laws against that. A Garda needs a valid reason to access details on Pulse

if you can't go back get a friend to go and ask for ya... at least then you would know what became of it....

Thanks guys, but if I knew who this guy is or where the shed was, I wouldn't have posted.
