    Hi all,
Is it a bad practice to spread fertiliser on land when the cattle are still on it grazing?
Are there any health implications and or regrowth/uptake issues with this ?
Contractor doing it so it would suit to let him at it.

    thanks,
    S.

Don't spread urea (unless the knackers have put in a hoss, boss:D:D) when they are on the field, everything else is probably ok. You could also have a problem 5/6 days after spreading CAN with v high levels of N in the grass.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

just avoiding rolling the animals as this is the biggest health risk. never had a problem with spreading Urea even at high grazing doses unless there was a drough and the animals were starving might there be an issue, then obviously you wouldnt be spreading urea in the first place
