Hatchbacks With Decent Sized Boots

    Hi.

    Going to update my 03 Yaris later on in the year. Looking for a Hatchback with a decent sized boot. Want to leave my golf clubs and cart in them permanently.
    Not sure what's available as I don't know a lot about cars.

    A 2008 model probably.

    Was thinking of the Opel Corsa, Astra, Volkswagon Golf etc...
    Maybe a 1.4 or 1.6 litre engine. Reliable and Fuel efficient would be handy too.

    Any suggestions would very appreciated.

    Yeah Skoda Octavia would be the best tbh, you could also look at the Hyundai i30/Kia Cee'd, both have long warranties, good engines, reliable and reasonably large boots from what I remember.

    Yes to the size of leitrim(one of the reasons i bought one) but they are hatchbacks.

    Yep, up to 2008 they were hatchbacks. Current model is a saloon though.

    the OP said corsa astra and golf... my focus' boot is pretty big compared to corsa and golf, no idea about the astra but can't be that big... a corsa is tiny sure

    The Octavia seems to have a really big boot, but it's seems very big for a Hatchback. Looks like a saloon!!!

    Liking the look of the Hyundai i30.

    Wonder if it's a good car??

    The excellent Parkers website (http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews) has information on the boot size. Select your manufacturer, then model, then type, then look on the 'Comfort' tab.
