ThinK UPC Broadband is excellent, had it from the start and never any problems.

However 4 wks ago started having problems with it.

Set up was netgear router and Scientific Atlanta Cisco EPC2203 Modem.

Broadband started to drop several times a day. UPC guy changed the cable coming from the wall to the modem as it was damaged.

Following day, broadband dropping again. 2nd UPC guy could not find anything wrong, UPC had no indication that the broadband had dropped. He requested a modem change to EPC 3925, which would also remove the need for the Netgear router.

Received it to-day and set it up myself after lunch. Broadband dropped at least 3 times before 5:30pm.

Rang self-install support, they could see nothing wrong, but he changed channels.

Problem persists, 2nd self-install guy again cannot see anything wrong, checked the modem and believes it is ok.

Have 2 laptops, vista and windows 7 and a desktop running XP; he is suggesting it might be one of them. Can now confirm broadband dropped while desktop was off, so that is eliminated. will check the laptops to-morrow.

Anyone got suggestions as to what I should do next?

You haven't said how the computers connect to the router! When you say drop, do you mean the modem's lights indicate the connection is lost or else that the internet stops working on your computer in general?

WIFI is used to link the computers to the router.

Lights indicate connection is gone and also the internet stops working on pc.
