Question re: employee medical

For just over 10 years my work has involved receiving a yearly medical from my employer. my job involves processing a product which contains hazardous subtances (carcenogenic).

Recently we have received communication that this medical is to be extended to 3 years, due to an update to the medical protocol by our parent company in the states.

We have not been communicated the reasoning behind this change - obviously cost cutting. We have just been asked to fill out a questionaire regarding our current health status and treat this as a procedural update.

My question is do we have any grounds to fight this, as we are the ones in daily contact with carcenogenic( excuse the spelling.! ) substances on a daily basis.

My feeling is that for the last 10 years a yearly medical was required, as sufficient knowledge on the danger or side effects of this product were not evident. I feel this cost cutting measure is not right as this drug could do a lot of damage in 3 years.
