    Hey all,

I need my phone unlocked for the weekend...I've been into the meteor store and they were pretty much no help, and the person in there told me to come back later:mad:

So is there anyway I can unlock the phone with the aid of an app?

    Its a HTC Desire

    Cheer in advance

Have you tried another SIM in it?

I don't think Meteor locked their Desires. My Meteor Desire was definitely unlocked out of the box.

are you out of contract? if so, just ring up your provider and ask them to have the phone unlocked and they should do it with you over the phone. :)

Yeah I just threw my 48 sim into the phone, and I can't send messages or make calls...But strangely just received a text

I've no credit to ring them, also I'm not on bill pay I'm pay as you go...Was just chatting to someone on the metoer site and he said he'd sent off a request but it could take 10 working days

But your man, online said it would take 10 days, will the person over the phone be able to do it straight away?

i haven't done it with meteor since i joined them (i'm still in contract anyway) but oi've done it with o2 and they did it over the phone, only took a few minutes to give them the imei and/or lock code (can't remember exactly) and then for them to give me the unlock code to type in to unlock it as far as i remember.

The no credit, was in relation to my meteor sim...

The sim that received the text was my 48 sim...not my meteor one.

Got it sorted anyway's, phone was unlocked, but had to do a factory reset and it's all working very well now...

Cheers for all the replies guys
