Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
I got an iPad 3 and did what the guy at the shop said , I used it from the shop without recharging until the bat was empty, then charged it to 100% and get about 10 hours bat life on it - very happy with this.

Was wondering is it ok to charge when it's not fully empty ? Will this effect the batteyr life ? Does it have "memory" ?

    Cheers

Totally discharging the battery every time isn't good for it. You should only do that once a month or so.

Mostly I wouldn't worry about it. Just charge it whenever you need to.

I've had my iPad for a year and a half, and I can't remember the last time I fully discharged it.

Actually, I probably ought to do that soon...

But yeah, charge it when you need to. I read somewhere a few years ago that these kinds of batteries generally like to be kept between 20% and 80% full, and that dropping below 20% will do more harm than powering up above 80%, but I know plenty of people who let theirs run low before charging it, and it doesn't see to have done any harm.

Of course. But it will charge slower obviously.

You basically don't have to even think about the battery. Work away with it and once a month or so let it run out. It's a good battery.
