    Hey
Could any recommend a riding school in the Maynooth area?
I'd like to organise some adult riding lessons for myself but I've no idea where to begin so any helpful advice would be great.:)

I'm a livery there, never taken a lesson there, but I've watched a few, they seem really nice when teaching, very understanding and have suitable horses and ponies for all levels.

Did you manage to find a place? Am looking for a good riding centre. Went to MEQ not impressed with it to be honest.

Did you try Clonfert Equestrian? Straight across the road from Maynooth Equestrian. They do child and adult lessons, have an off-road track (approx 2 miles long), 2 arenas, horse-walker and lunge ring.

There are 2 equestrian centres, right across the road from each other. No connection between them other than gps coordinates!

Sorry just replying to this now. Haven't had the chance to check them out yet. Will post back here with information regarding whatever place I go to. :)

Ive been to clonfert, maynooth and carton.Carton is by far the best. The standard of riding is great there. My eldest daughter came on leaps and bounds when we moved.

    Mod edit: <snip>

Granted this poster's bad experience with Carton was 4 years ago. I was being charged extra 20 on top of 120 a week livery, and extra 10 for putting her into the field. I used to try to rob hay to try to feed her. I don't know what the place is like now but to be honest I never want to go back up again. They lost 90% of their liveries that winter, I think it changed hands.

Shes fine now, nice and happy out in a 10 acre field with her friends, shes on DIY, with all the hay she can eat and feed twice a day :D

Just a reminder to all posters to be careful about what they say about any establishment/business/people, etc.
