I have been looking at several Opel Vectra's 07/08 all 1.9 diesel, they seem to be spacious, low tax, good enough MPG ....but mechanically speaking I never had the chance to have a look at one of them, do you have any ideas about their reliability? any well known issues with these cars? what would be the average price to…

I had an 08 and had no problems through high mileage. Decent motor and I enjoyed it. Mine was petrol but later Opels have been diesel without complaint.

8 to 10 grand depending on spec.

The diesel engine is a Fiat engine. It's generally a reliable unit.

Two versions; 8v 120bhp and 16v 150bhp. I had one of the former, no real problems despite relatively low mileage. Good torque, poor mid range acceleration.
