Damaged roof - Mondeo

Woke up to a large clatter outside last night at 1:30, turned out a group of 30 or so were roaring and shouting though the estate and one decided to hop up and down on my roof!.

Came out this morning to a big dip in the roof of my Mondeo filled with rain water, a few smaller roof dents and footprints everywhere on the roof . I managed to hammer it out a bit but still dents and big dip in it. ( water will collect on it). Doesn't look like the paint was damaged thankfully.

Any ideas on cost to repair a roof like this? I'll stick up a photo later. It's only worth about 3k or so (05 petrol 1.8)I didn't want to change till next year but would it make better financial sense to trade in and not fix it? I suppose I'll get a quote tomorrow and decide. Fecking shame as its mechanically great, some people have no respect!

i'd go to repairers and get an estimate to see extent of damage. u could look if any shops had cctv for this crowd as they probably did this all the way home. happened to me a couple of months ago and guards got the guy who was standing on my bonnet, did no damage but his name is known now no probs since.

Even if you find the person responsible, you usually won't get a penny out of them.

You might be lucky. Had someone jump on the roof of a jeep I was driving a few years back. Looked really bad. I punched the dent from the inside and it just popped back.
