Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all, this is my first time posting on this site and i was looking for advice
re surplus quota. I have around 20,000 gallons that i wont fill this year and
i was wondering what are my options with regards to leasing it. Do i have to go down the co-op route and accept the miserable return or can i do a deal privately with a quota squeezed farmer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You have to go down the co-op route and accept the miserable returns. Not sure if you can lease out quota with land but other than that its the co-op only

This is grossly unfair, i have surplus quota that i know i wont fill this year
and there are plenty of farmers who need it but still i have to take a derisory
sum for it. Fellas might say i should be filling my quota and that is true but
as it stands i wont fill it til next year.

Fill as much as you can profitably and lease the rest in the first round of temp leasing (2c a litre as against 1c for the second round). Sort out what is under your control rather than what isnt
