I'm just wondering I'm going on work placement from my university in January 2013 till September 2013 what is the required amount i'd have to have in my bank account to enter the USA? Thanks Oldspice.

Since you will have a job waiting, there is no specific amount afaik. You will need to show some funds to get yourself set up (first months rent, food etc until you get paid).
