Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am thinking of buying this but it is costly. I don't mind spending the money if indeed it is any good? Has anyone successfully learned Italian using Rosetta Stone? I just want enough Italian to do the basics in Italy.

Never used it but heard it is very good from a friend who did the Spanish course

    Yep it's very good.

You do still have to put time and effort into tho.

maybe combine rosetta with a language course

When you say you just want to do the basics, I assume that means you are going on holiday and want to be able to book a hotel, order at a restaraunt and ask directions? If so I would recommend looking round youtube for some good free phrases, and also I must say that I am doing the Michel Thomas Arabic course at the moment in preparation for a trip to Egypt and in terms of covering the basics I find it excellent. Therefore have a try of his Italian course as it focusses entirely on speaking in important situations
