Hi, not sure if i'm on the right forum here but i'll try it anyway.
Have a problem with a John Deere LX172 ride-on lawnmower.
The clutch assembly/PTO underneath the deck is making a screeching noise when engaged and grass cutting begins. there is also a lof of vibration coming through, even to the steering wheel.
Can i take it from this that the clutch is on its last legs and needs replacing or is it possible that it just needs adjustment or overhaul.?
the vibration seems to signal that the bearing inside it is'nt great.
    Any help/advice appreciated. Thanks.
