WTF is the reasoning behind that? Because the euro has become so weak? Not liking this new policy with Apple and raising the prices of a lot of things.

Similar thing happened to the UK store earlier this year or was it last year.

Heard nothing about that. I just think these prices will stay permanent even if the exchange rate shifts and the euro becomes strong again. We're that much closer to paying US prices.

When I try to look at an app in the App Store I get the error:

    Can't connect to iTunes.

    Can't find a fix...

Did you try reset your network settings?

Apple just keep on taking, taking & taking.

Prices have gone up across the board. Apps that were 3.99 are now 4.49, etc.

I'm not defending this move, but it isn't a new policy. Apple have always adjusted prices in line with changes in the value of currency. That includes dropping prices.

I signed into my us account and it worked. Signed back to the Irish one ans the error reappeared.

Changed country on my Irish account and it worked. Back to Ireland again with the error.:mad:

Also signed with my wife's id and it didn't work. Signed in with my id on her iPhone 4 and that worked too.

Just on my phone it won't work on the Irish store.

Price of €0.79 apps has gone up to €0.89
I am totally going to sell some old apps I don't use at a profit.

i am not buying the bs about currency as the dollar is higher than it was earlier this year, ok it is lower than last year but only by about 4 cents so not a lot...

i think apple are following the route of MS in the late 90's and if they dont thread carefully they are going to follow them down too...

they are but they had the potential to be the largest but they screwed up with several launches of bad products, forgot that people can just switch to different systems etc..
Most business customers tha they have are running xp as everything they have released since has been terrible, lets not forget windows millennium, all terrible products released with out a care for their customers.

My point is apple is, in my opinion on the verge of pissing off too many people with mediocre products and high charges, if there was a viable alternative most would jump ship and try it, but at the moment the competition is loosing the PR battle. when apple push too far people wont wait around they will leave, and this increase along with increases in their macbook and imac prices are just another push...

Will be interesting to see how (and i say this with a shudder down my back) windows 8 works out...

is this really because of a 10c rise in the lowest app prices? Really?

    Christ sake. Devs gotta live.

Exactly what I thought. If he bought 100 apps a month, that's more than three a day by the way, it'd still only be an extra tenner.

For all those hard working apple fans slaving away, paying income tax andUSC (universal social charge for those non-Irish) to pay for their shiny new toys like the iPhone 5 read and weep about how little tax the most wealthiest company in technology pays.

Apple paid less than 2% on profits

By using a method called the Double Irish combined with a Dutch Sandwich.

    Gotta love those accounting terms.

Anyway stop your bitching about 10c extra on Apps and pay up guys.

To be fair and balanced Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Dell also do it.
It’s just that Apple is the most successful and by far the most hypocritical.

Are they by far the most hypocritical because they are also united in some lobby groups to increase corporate tax, or do you not understand what hypocritical means, as well as not really getting thread titles?

And whats with the BIG TEXT?
