Cracking men's race, nearly as good as the Boards crew running

    Kebede takes the lead...

    Kebede wins in 2:06:02

If yer man with the moustache man handled me the way he's doing it to the athletes at the finish, I'd shove the big red towel down his throat. :)

    Anne half 1:56:16

Any idea if Anne has broken 4 before?

Very impressive finish by Kebede. Much slower second half, some of the guys really came of the pace. Not sure what to make of Mo's race. Steve Cram still claiming Paul Pollock is running for GB, looks like he could be under 2:15

Yes 3.57.xx I'm nearly sure. She's getting steadily faster hopefully she'll smash her Dublin time.

Targetting sub 3.50 and should be very close

The men's race was skewed by having farah in it, 61 vs 64 isn't the best way to run a marathon.

The two amigos through 35k in 2:11 (on 2:38:50 pace)

    KC through 35km in 2.11.45. Last 5k in 18.48

That's the first time Meno has gone into the 22's for a 5k split... Hopefully back to normal on the next one

Bad day at the office for Makau, 2:14, could live with that :)

Another 18:34 5k from ian, a master class in pacing

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,554 ✭✭✭Mr Slow

Don't think Farah had a bearing on that to be honest. Pacers were told 2.03.30 but went out in 2.03 flat and the initial pace was what did the damage. Field was set up to bring the WR back to London

Safely secures the A standard for Moscow. Thats all he wanted :D

Pollock 2.17.10. Suffered in the last few km. Initial fast pace probably did a bit of damage

Off out for a race, bring it home lads and lassies.

Deadly stuff from the boys. I bet they're hurting but they'll be passing everyone. I'd say they're enjoying this. Beautiful pacing

Defintely time for RQ, MS and Meno to dig in, splits at 35k will be crucial

I just hope the lads aren't this close at the post race drinks :D

    Super running

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,520 ✭✭✭Peckham

Robin showing solid pacing and on track for sub-2:55, but doesn't have much margin for error.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,016 ✭✭✭Itziger

The leaderboard on the official site is way wrong. I believe Pollock came home in 2.17.0x and he's not up in the top 20 ........

There'll be no point in reading both race reports if this continues!!
