Just got call from an 079 number (and 6 digits) - caller said was local to me and was irish but that is not my county's dialling code. I'm selling something and they are coming to the house!

    Am i overreacting?

Is 079 an area code for anywhere in Ireland? I can't find it.

There are places called 'down the country', where they have these strange suspicious numbers. Google tells me that 079 may be from one such place, known to the natives in their own language as 'Boyle'.

    Thanks guys :D

Guess i'm just suspicious by nature. Boyle didn't come up when i googled. Weird. He asked a load of personal questions and kind of spooked me i suppose. Am going to ring him back and say it's sold.
