Say you have a stomach bug and stay at home or else go but say you have a tummy bug and couldn't possibly drink with it!!

I can't really stay home from my own 30th birthday celebrations, probably should have mentioned that!

So op, what do you actually to know? We can't tell you of you are pregnant and you don't seem interested in any of the proposals from other posters so what do you want us to tell you?

If you got drunk this weekend, you'd be no different than most people who find out they are pregnant AFTER they have missed their period. Most girls could be drinking away up till 5 weeks before they even register they're pregnant. I see it happen a lot.

Put the stress on hold, drink moderately and enjoy your 30th.

I just wanted someone to talk to. Is that a crime? I am a friend, my a***.

gud4u is right. There is no evidence that drinking in the very early stages of pregnancy has any negative effect on the child.

Rather than add to the stress and create a situation where people are being nosy go out and have a few drinks. Try to relax and keep calm.

Thanks. I think having a drink or two may calm me down a bit.

At the moment I have quite bad cramps, am bleeding a little and really bloated so hopefully I am worrying about nothing.

If you drink alot in early stages of pregnancy it can cause miscarriage. Very often this happens to alot of girls who do not know they are pregnant.
So drink a few but not to point of being blotto!
Also as your bleeding a little it sounds like your having your period maybe?
But if your having a threatened miscarriage and add alcohol into the equation this could cause a full miscarriage then.
Im pregnant at moment, early on i bled for one week. I knew enough at the time to rest up. so i stayed in bed hoping beyond hope. My doctor told me i was having a miscarriage. But i didnt budge for 3-4 days, took time off work. And one week later the miscarriage had stopped and my babies fine.
So just be aware OP if your pregnant and bleeding a little it mioght be best to rest up now just in case.
    Good luck ok!

    Thanks Lorraine.
No probs and i dont want to scare you by any means. But I have had a miscarriage before. I felt bloated and had cramps. Little blood soon turned to clots. I was younger then and had no sense.
This time when i felt the same thing happen and saw blood i rested. And my babies fine so far im 23 weeks.
It wont happen this way for eveyone , but just so your aware it can happen.
    best of luck

    Do a test!!

Oh my god, like I have explained a million times I don't want to do one too soon and get a false negative and have to go through it all again.

The OP prob also feels scared and alone. Facing the reality of a pregnancy test is daunting at the best of times.
OP my text confirmed i was pregnant 2 days before my period was due. I used clearblue digital.
The only reason id advise u to do one, is so that you could rest up if its positive
However if your more comfortable waiting then go with your own gut instinct.

Just a quick update, I finally worked out when my last period came from receipts from Boots I had so I am officially due tomorrow however I have been cramping slightly and bleeding a little bit since last Wednesday so it seems a little odd. Anyway I have bought a selection of tests and will do one tonight and one in the morning and see what's what. I am beginning to think it could be something else though.

Stress can do funny things to your innards. It can delay a period or change the usual way it arrives. If you test with your first morning urine its more concentrated. I hope you get the result that you want.

and I hope that despite your worries, that you had a nice 30th Birthday. :)

Thanks, it wasn't so bad actually and it sort of kept my mind of everything. :) Got a negative but I will try again in the morning.

I'm not being smart but hasn't the original issue of this thread being sorted, i.e. how the OP will hold it together for the weekend? I hope everything works out for you OP but this is now reading more like a blog...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 76 ✭✭Iwillcope

What do you mean the test didn't work?

that sounds very odd to me. You are due your period, take another test. The only reason it didn't work is if you did not pee on it properly - it's not hard to do.:confused:

Yes, exactly that's what happened. I woke up late and just didn't do it properly. I will try again later.

Sorry if I am annoying people but I don't really have anyone else to talk to about this. I think I'm ok though. I hope.

Okay OP, you have five pages of advice to refer to - a daily update is really not necessary.
