Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm curious as to what they could do in regards to negative equity - we're all in the same boat there!

The New Beginnings group might be your thing. Do a quick google.

People will PM you if they have any recomendations - I think thats how its done.

Have you been in contact with your lender? Believe it or not the negative equity is actually helping at the moment as no one wants the property! They would rather try and keep you in it even if it means extending the term etc. You might be able to negoitate this yourself and save yourself a few quid. FLAC may also be of some assistance as would the debt organisation which name escapes me.

If you're just trying to get out from under negative equity though I don't think you'll have much luck there have been a few discussions on this topic. Im not suggesting for one second that's the case.

Unfortunately, you would be between a rock and a hard place there as i) if you're in negative equity you've probably got no money to pay a solicitor and ii) it's unlikely that you would have any form of a defence so I don't know if there is any wisdom in getting a solicitor.

It's pretty clear that the Master of the High Court is not too keen on the Banks seeking Summary judgments so that it's sometimes better for a defendant to appear themselves and play dumb so as to have the matter adjourned...

However, obviously that's not legal advice and you're best off seeing a solicitor for an opinion on your particular situation. New Beginnings might be your best option or else look for a solicitors firms that do work for the Banks. They would be well placed to defend such proceedings seeing as they would normally be on the other side!

Don't be looking for a handout, pay your damn mortgage. A lot of people have to. The idea that you can hire a solicitor but not pay your mortgage.Im sure if prices were rises you'd find a way to pay it.

You don't need a solicitor for that. What you need to do is contact the bank and discuss your options. A solicitor will cost you a fortune and won't get them to reduce the negative equity portion of your loan

That is untrue. A lot of people have little or no experience of dealing with banks and don't know what can be done.
