    Hi,

me and my friends want to get student acommodation together. Is there any campus' where you can stay and it doesnt matter what college you go to. It would have to be close to the city!

If not where would be the best place to stay!

    Thanks!!

Campus accomodation is always for students of the university. As it is generally in short supply they aren't going to let students from other universitites stay.
I'd suggest Daft or the websites of the universities as they may list places available.

Ok problem is NUIG is on one side of city and GMIT is the other.
If you both sides to stay somewhere half way you will need to look at city centre or somewhere like Tuam Road, Headford Road direction.

If you stay out towards GMIT then whoever is in NUIG will have to either use bicycle or buses and it makes going out more of a pain.
Of course maybe nowadays students have cars, or maybe with recession you are back to old days like we had to do.

I definetly would not stay Salthill direction if I was in GMIT because it would be a pain in the ar**.

I am not allowed discuss …

go back to the map and look again.

somewhere between the two would be wellpark rd, bohermore and tuam rd areas. basically a pain for all involved to get to college in the morning.
if you have a car, theres the traffic and the expense of running it. if you walk, cycle, wait for a bus you will need to remember that it ALWAYS rains in galway:)
do you all HAVE to live together? why not split and live on campus. you can always visit eachother and socialise together and have the best of both worlds.

maybe we would have to split. Theres no point in me looking at the map as I have no idea of where is a good spot to live i.e. loads of other students!!!!!!

    Thanks for the advice
