importing puppy from europe

hi can anyone tell me about bring in a puppy form Europe.will it have to go into quarantine?.if its only 12 weeks old with all vaccines or do u have to wait until its over 6 months old for it rabies shots to work or is it only 21 day after all its shots thanks :confused:
