Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If you're on JSA in one county, and you move to another, can you move your JSA payments to the local office? Or do you have to sign on all over again?

God you Cork people are all the same! She said county, not country (and no, Cork ISN'T a country!)!

OP, you can transfer your claim into any local office, your best bet is to notify either office (best do it after collecting a payment as there could be a slight delay). You will have to fill in forms again as it is a change in your circumstances, but it should take no more than a few days to get fixed up.

You have to go into the office in the area you are moving to and ask for your claim to be transferred... think its a UP6 form you will have to fill out. You will need to bring in proof of address...e.g. tenancy agreement or utility bill in your name and also bring in photo ID.
You will not have to fill in a repeat claim form as it is only transfer of claim.

Just bumping this again. Basically, my OH was a mature student who was entitled to JSA during summers, which he has claimed for the last couple of years. When he goes back to college, he signs off. This summer, he's finished for good and has moved to Cork. He'll be going into the Cork office tomorrow and asking them to transfer the claim to there, with proof of his new address (lease agreement). How long should he expect it to take for money to come through? Presumably it'll be quicker than signing on for the first time?

Get him to download UP6 form for repeat claim and have it completed. Also get him to bring in ID and also letter from college stating date he finished course. I dont know how long it will take as you can imagine there are lots of people in his position coming back onto the live register having finished college or going from btea to jsa at this time of the year.
