Lodged cheque, clearence time?

    Hi All,

    I lodged a BoI cheque today into my AIB account.

    My query is, will it take 5 business days from tomorrow, clearing on Wednesday week, or will it clear 5 days from today meaning it should be there Tuesday?

    I know I should of asked the cashier but my head was all over the place I was rushing to get things done on my lunch break.

    some accounts are flagged to have access to the money immediately but it'll still take 5 days to clear so if something goes wrong you'd owe it to the bank. Call the bank and ask
