    Hi guys

My current bathroom fans are letting a lot of cold air in when turned off.

    There only basic ones
    Do 2 questions

1, can I get one that closes when turned off?
2, is it easy to get a more powerful one then standard?

No window in the main bathroom

    1) Yes I did in chadwicks suppliers a few years ago as I had a similar problem, I think it was Xpelair branded
    2) Yes there is a range for locations such as kitchens that need a better flow.

you can get anti-blow back vent covers for clothes dryer vents that blow open when the dryer is on and close when its off. One of those might work.

they can operate off the light switch although you will need an isolator in the bathroom for it too

Is there a model of the icon fan that can operate off a light swtich but only comes in when it gets humid and steamy in the bathroom.

Im sick and tired of the fan allways comming on when I turn on the light, even just to go to the loo.:(

Theres an isolator switch beside the light switch, outside the bathroom.

The isolator is for the shower.

    Would that do??

PS-Forgot to say that the fan is a ceiling mounted fan.

    no paddy that wont do
there should be a 3 pole isolator in the room for the fan(in case you need to isolate in an emergency or work on the fan)
    this one

is the fan an inline type or conventional one?
    (pic would help)

Hi guys it turns out ya can pick up the shutters for the current 4 inch fan that places just behind them. I got the shutters then in going to out in another 4 inch fan and shutter with an inline fan half way up the ducting with another shutter. Should help with the cold coming in and taking the steam out

You can buy what looks like a non return valve for an extractor fan. It allows air out but not back in.

Its fitted in line and can be fit simple enough by a diyer. No electrical bits

I will try post a picture.
