Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just wondering what stocking rate you guys run on the grazing platform all season. At the moment I am running at 1.6/acre with silage been taken off from rented land. Later on i will probably reduce it by putting youngstock on the silage ground from august onwards.

Any hassle with nitrates at that stocking rate? Do you get maps with the rented ground..

Yea rented ground has maps overall stocking rate is a bit above 1. i am more wondering how far stocked are some people on the 'homefarm' by using the rented land for silage. I see the lads in the north with very highly stocked farms around the parlour by feeding some meal and maize while at grass.

Feeding meal and maize alright - but at what cost?? To spend more hours in the milking parlour??

I think if you go too high on the stocking rate in the grazing ground you will create grass managment problems at the start and end of year
