Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My sis was renting an apartment with another person for 3 months now. The other person moved out and the agency were trying to get someone else in. The other night she heard her car alarm going off and looked out the window, she heard noises but didn't see anyone. Guards came and her lock was damaged but they didn't get in the gardai think they ran when alarm went off. She's going to loose her No claims bonus getting it fixed. She went down to tell her neighbour to be careful and what happened and he told her the last people in her apartment had their car stolen by the "junkies next door" :eek:and another car was burnt out there before she moved in, and a few months before a gang hopped out of one car in balaclava's and into another and sped off.
She is now terrified to go back as she is on her own and is afraid she might get attacked in the car park. She has been staying with family the last few days. She rang the agency and they just told her to get someone else to rent with and if she leaves she loses her deposit. Just wondering is there anything she can do as there seems to be a history of this in the car park should she have been made aware before she signed. It does say private property on the car park but is not gated. The apartment came with her numbered space on the contract if that makes any difference.
    Appreciate any help.

is the owner of that parking space not responsible for her car, have they got insurance covering same, more so when they elected that she should park there,

Try the PRTB but I suspect you wont get much help.

It is up to a tenant to check out an area before they sign a lease for a property in that area. Talk to neighbours, visit the area at various times of the day (and night) etc.

IMHO, she will not get her deposit back unless she can assign her part of the lease to another person.
