Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a lamb '2 months old' who has constipation.

Gave him 100ml of Liquid Parafin yesterday evening but hasn't improved him.

    Anybody have any recommendations?

Is it a 'pet lamb'. When I had sheep/pets I used to put small amount of sugar in the bottle for a few days. It was an old remedy of my mother's. It seemed to do the job.

have you a creep feeder out, if you are feeding meal high in magnesium it can cause it.

    Hi Arrow in the Knee,

Lambs don't usually get constipated (why would they?), so it might be something else (for example I think lambs will force and strain a lot if they have coccidiosis).

The dose of liquid paraffin you gave him is the equivalent of giving two litres/nearly half a gallon lto a 100kg human, rather a lot.

Continuing down this path and trying a litany of internet remedies might not be the best way to go.

Is the ewe still milking well? If she was drying up for any reason it could cause it. Warm milk mixed with some brown sugar is a cure that works for us. You can use the stomach tube he probably wouldnt drink from a bottle.

P.S Also LostCovey has a good point, and 100ml is away too much we'd normally give maximum 5ml
