So, whats the minimum I need?
    Visa €509.
Flight €393+tax (how much is tax?)
$6,000 / €4,670 minimum to support myself etc.
    _______________
=€5,572 + tax on flight amirite?

Is this the minimum needed? Any advice for a total travel noob?

    A E400 flight?
Are you planning on getting a one way ticket?

An outward bound ticket is expected , but not a necessity if you have enough money.

I would recommend having return flights. If things go tits up, at least you have a way home.

I assume you mean a workign holiday visa. Which isn't 500 euro.
393 is very cheap for a flight. Even one way.
4-5k is support yourself is the minimum. But ideally you have a bit more.

An outbound ticket isn't expected on a WHV (it could be on a standard holidat visa), nor do you need the cash siting there. Perfectly acceptable to arrive with the intention of staying a few years.

Buying a return flight that you may not use is a waste of money imo. A friend of booekd a return as it worked out cheaper. Last week he rescheduled his flight at a cost of $250 - there goes any money he saved, plus the "best" flight he coudl get includes 10 hours in London - ugh.

It is return, from Ireland. I'm guessing tax is about a grand?

This below is what costs €509
•1 Year Working Holiday Visa for Australia
•12 Months Premium Worldwide Travel Insurance
    •Australian SIM Card
    •Australian Bank Account
    •Tax File Number
    •Backpackers Discount Card
    •12 months Australian Job Membership

Most of this stuff is free, you shouldnt be paying anyone for it. Apply directly for your WHV, not through a third party.

Ive no idea what you are talking about with the "tax".

the only amount I'm not sure on. My flights look to be costing 393+tax. Just wondering if anyone knows how much that is.

That 509 is about 40 bucks more than the cheapest package so i'll just pay it. will save me some paperwork.

So is this all I need then?

No idea, but I am sure you can get cheaper
    •Australian SIM Card
    Free
    •Australian Bank Account
    Free
    •Tax File Number
    Free
    •Backpackers Discount Card

This is not of real use to anyone

Do yourself a favour and apply for it yourself, you fill out the same form and you get it in the exact same timeframe, read the FAQ, most of those things above are way over priced.

Paper work? Theres nothing to it. But go ahead, kinda like paying someone to wipe your ass.

It doesnt save you any paperwork, you still have to submit the paperwork to visafirst or whoever instead of directly. Go and ask them how much the tax is.
