Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What footwear do you wear inside your house?

I always slip into something a bit more comfortable when I enter the house, usually a pair of slippers. Assuming that you don't have to go straight back out do you leave on your shoes or change your footwear when indoors?

I like to go barefoot if I know I'll be home for the day. That or fluffy socks. :D

Whatever I wear walking into the house stays on me until bed time. I'm far too lazy to be switching footwear.

Socks. All shoes are at the front door. And guests are expected to do the same.

    It's a Finnish thing.

No footwear indoors, just socks. But I've wanted to buy a good pair of slippers for about 3-4 years now. I just keep forgetting and have just never got round to buying them. Someday...

Feet. I tripped over my cat in novelty slippers. I like to get home and wiggle my toes as I slip my socks off.

You should turn your cat into a pair of novelty slippers!

I never wear footwear in the house because it's way more comfortable just in socks or no socks, well I always say that but I wasn't saying that 2 weeks ago when i went over to the kitchen sink and low and behold I stood on a very large and pointy tumb-tac it went right up my big toe hehe. Still, it's more comfortable and better for your feet if you remove all footwear when inside. :o

Whatever we wear outside we wear inside, except wellies, but no shoes upstairs.

Birkenstock clog type things. Very comfy. Or just stocking or bare feet.

My tootsies like a bit of fresh air and freedom, so usually nothing.

In the winter if its really cold I'll wear some ski socks indoors, but never shoes if I can avoid it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,219 ✭✭✭woodoo

    Slippers all the way

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 272 ✭✭Loopie

Cozy socks, or a nice pair of furry schlippers, which come off when I throw my feet up on the couch!!! Shoes only go on right before I go out the door. Shoes in the house feel wrong, like you can't get comfy coz you've to go out again!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,293 ✭✭✭✭Mint Sauce

Generally what ever shoes/trainners that I have on. If not planning on leaving the house have an old pair of nike frees which are as comfortable as slippers.

Every time I buy a pair of slippers they fall apart within weeks so now I just wear thermal socks 24/7 except when in bed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 37,214 ✭✭✭✭Dudess

    Heavy boots caked in shyte.

I take them off when I'm putting my feet on the coffee table though - I'm not a dirtbird.

I do now but I used to go bare foot in the house and garden for a long time, don't remember why I started to go fully shoe'd but I do now.
