Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

the "stations" are still alive and well in roscommon thats for sure, had a woman come over and invite us to her families stations the other day

pure money racket, people spend thousands to do up their house (its basically about showing off your house to your neighbours) and of course the priest gets a nice donation

These are the same neighbour who will have been in your house hundreds of times, the same neighbours who will drop in for a cup of tea, hardly any need to show off to them.
You don't have to pay the priest if you don't want, it is your choice.

They have them where I live here as well, everyone used to have a station in the area years ago but they are finding it harder to get people to have them these days. We always had one every six years in the house growing up. They had a "station dues" envelope and the houses in the station area each gave money.
